I am an Assistant Professor of Textile Engineering with the Research Center of Traditional Arts at the Research Institute of Cultural, Heritage, and Tourism (RICHT); and a part-time professor with the Department of Textile Engineering of the Amirkabir University of Technology (AUT) and Pars University Art and Architecture (PUAA).

My research lies in Nanotechnology, Surface modification, Natural fibers, Natural dyeing, and Iranian rugs. I am interested in developing methods that support surface modification with nanotechnology, which can donors new properties of the materials.

In addition, I am interested to research Iranian rugs, their color palette, the natural dyeing with plant resources, and natural fibers (particularly silk) that use in rug weaving.

My works have been supported through funding from RICHT, AUT, the Iranian Health Center (IHC), the Iran Nanotechnology Center, the Iranian Support Fund for Researchers, and the Research Institute of Advanced Materials and Technologies.

Employment and Work Experience


  • A faculty member of the Cultural Heritage and Tourism Research Institute (RICHT)- Traditional Arts Research Group (Since 2018).
  • The group manager of raw materials for Hand-woven rugs at the Iranian Carpet Scientific Association (Since 2021).
  • A part-time professor at Pars University Art and Architecture A part-time professor at Pars University Art and Architecture (Taught course: Identification of Fibers and Fabrics).
  • A faculty member of Qazvin Institute of Higher Education (Taught courses: Non-woven textiles, the chemistry of textile materials, principles of color chemistry, Natural dyeing, Synthetic dyeing, Textile wastewater, Natural and synthetic fiberS dyeing laboratories, Polymer laboratory, Fiber identification laboratory) (Years: 2008-2013).
  • A part-time professor of the textile engineering department at Amirkabir University of Technology (Taught course: Fiber identification laboratory, Years: 2008-2018).

  • Sabbatical at DISAT (Department of Applied Science and Technology) of the Polytechnic University of Turin, Italy - (A Researcher in Carbon Research Group for 6 months in 2014).
  • Cooperation in the research-industrial project of Carbon fibers production from cheap primary sources, identification, analysis, and modification of carbon fibers by a plasma method (Year: 2014).
  • Synthesis of Bismuth Oxide nanoparticles for use in Cosmetic and health industries.
  • Fire retardant process of cotton fabrics with poly dimethyl sulfoxide (PDMS).
  • Obtaining scientific certificates for participating in theoretical and practical courses from the Iran Nanotechnology Center:
